Hey friend,

Welcome to the 20th weekly edition of Pillow Talk! This is where I share my personal thoughts on property management topics.

This week, I’m talking about NARPM Annual 2025 and the Leading Women in Property Management.

By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be headed home after a busy week in Orlando for the 2025 NARPM Annual Convention. Safe travels home to everyone who attended, and I hope you get to catch up on some sleep this weekend! Fingers crossed I get to do the same 🤞😅

NARPM Annual was special this year for the Blanket team. You may have seen that we had the privilege to partner with the NARPM Women’s Council of Property Managers on the development of a new and exciting program called Leading Women in Property Management.

This program is our way of giving back to NARPM, but it’s also our way of elevating women role models in our industry. It says right on the Women’s Council’s website that “women often have limited role models and mentors, leading them to conform to traditional leadership models that may not highlight their individual strengths.” We know for a fact that there are many women in this industry who would make great role models for men and women alike. They just need to be brought to the forefront!

For that reason, we conducted professional interviews with the Leading Women honorees in Orlando. All 12 jumped in the hot seat and answered questions that highlight their industry expertise and leadership abilities. They also shared the impact NARPM has had on their lives.

Our friend and new NARPM President is also an honoree and gave a great interview! Keep an eye out for that release, because DD shared great stuff about NARPM 2.0 👀

I want to give a big congrats to DD on her new role! I’ve known DD for many years and she’s going to do an amazing job helping bring NARPM into its next era.

I also want to say thank you to now past-President, Amy Hanson. Amy is also on the list of Leading Women in Property Management, and her leadership this past year was critical. Thank you Amy! 🙏

One last shoutout

Every weekly company sync at Blanket incudes each team member giving another team member kudos. My kudos go to Clay Huston, Blanket’s Content Marketing Lead (pictured above next to DD). He’s been with Blanket for close to 2 years, first working behind the scenes as a contract copywriter, then this January he went fulltime.

Clay led the development of the Leading Women in Property Management program, from articulating the strategy, creating the media, coordinating with NARPM and each honoree, to co-producing the interviews. And I’m super proud of the job he did with this new initiative!

Good night 😴
